Does anyone have an adult ODD child at home?

What symptoms & behaviours do they display?

I've found over the last 24yrs its extremely difficult to describe to others as my child simply just sounds like a lazy ratbag, when saying they are messy, loses things frequently (usually important things keys, meds, paperwork), gets on her high horse, and more.

I'm trying to find clearer ways to describe it to others especially specialists as well work out how much is ODD behaviour vs her other issues vs that's just who she is.

Thank you for sharing

Not sure I have had experience with ODD but looked and found this @MsManaged

then thought some more and thought of my ex step daughter.  I had to 'leave home' again, or was pushed out.

Sounds like it is complex. You have to do what you can.

Hi @MsManaged

Gosh that sounds so tough. It can be so hard to distinguish behaviours. Have you looked at Facebook groups for parents of children with ODD? There are a few that are quite active and may be able to offer you advice.
