Re: 17 yr old son
That was a good summary.
I hope this form gives some life to you
It is with Life experienced people
17 years old. All ages are hard, but that age can be a changing point as they reach adulthood.
I understand the isolated feel. For me I isolated so I did not have to hear from people without experience "Have you tried this? Have you tried That?
So do you isolate to avoid the comments or are you trying to meet others?
Contrary to what I just wrote, I did join a Pentecostal Church in the end. I realised many people have issues. I realise they were my friends for that day. I found the whole place very accepting of all. I also found doing jobs there as a volunteer opened up avenues for me. There is no magic pill.
We have to manage what we are going through and find like minded like here on Sane
I hope it will not be long before people reply with supports.
sane has Counselling and Forums
LifeLine is handy for a quick vent
I hope you find friends here and I will look out for your posts.

Re: 17 yr old son
I found small towns, first 3 months every one is friendly. Next 3 months you hear all the gossip. Third 3 months you are part of the Gossip.
I am helping someone in a small area now. I tread carefully. I do not say much. So it gets back to the safety of isolation to a point.
I hope you find answers on this forum.
I hear you want a similar position friend or group. Good idea.
(silly question)
Have you tried Sane, Lifeline and Beyond Blue for referral services?
I know others here will offer better ideas later.
Some forum answers take a while
A moderator may pick it up for good input.
I am also aware you would have tried what you could and that is why you are reaching out.

Re: 17 yr old son
Sorry for stating the obvious.
I used to get upset when people did
I understand people twisting stories.
I leave tools at my friends country property to maintain lawns etc. I had things stolen last week.
Our neighbour there had keys, wallet and car stolen. Yes Car. I heard the stories about car and then the neighbour told me what happened. Amazing how I think Chinese whispers they call it, changes things. But that is life I suppose.
53 years in a small town.
This is up to you.
I suggest you change your Sane name
It seems to have too much personal information based on assuming the 53 years
This forum is anonymous and I want you to feel safe.

Hi @ButterflySky970 @SANE-Admin
I have just added Admin in to reply
We need our anonymity
I will check and see if they reply.
Sadly honest people who are often vulnerable need protecting.

Some one will reply.
It does not matter.
Your post is safe. I am just saying as you continue.
