Classes over for the day now .....

Wish you were here to show me Photoshop @Zoe7 .....

Our teacher is really lovely.  She is taking time to demonstrate things at a basic level for dinosaurs like me .... lol .... but it will take some time for things to stick.  Still, she will walk us through the submission steps, and with time, and doing this again and again, I will eventually get there.  Just need some time and patience.

Gonna stop for a coffee on my way out the door.

How are cat and Toby ?

Glad Mr. Shaz’s Toe surgery went well @Shaz51 ..... and it is hard carrying his worries along with your own health issues ..... hug ❣️

tbh @Faith-and-Hope I wish I was there tonight just for the company ...and to show you photoshop  Having a tough day - slept most of the morning sleeping and struggling to move from the couch this afternoon. Been watching House Rules for a while and snuggling with Toby. Cat is in her cave and she looks very comfortable. Makes me think of Mum and not having her cat snuggled up next to her anymore - I hope she is ok tonight but I can't ring her because I know I can't handle hearing her cry tonight - I am trying not to completely shut down myself and that would just about do it for me tonight!

Yeah, that’s hard @Zoe7.  I know you want to be there for her, but your own Heath needs to be the priority, as you know.

Will your sister call her, so you think ?  You were there yesterday.  Will she turn-take with you in this ?

Yes she probably will call her - they speak quite often - thanks for reminding me of that @Faith-and-Hope Definitelly struggling tonight with my own stuff so need to leave it in her hands if that is what happens. 

How are you going with using the camera - still getting help from your girls?

Hi @Faith-and-Hope,  @outlander   @Zoe7   @Shaz51  and anyone interested. Yes, looks like the real thing this time, a buyer for my house up north, signed contract today so hope they don't pull out. Very anxious about it  actually but also know it has to be.

Andvi just told my son who is OK about it though worried how I'm gonna empty it...  Might need to solicit help from declutter thread..

Still functioning at a basic level with the camera operation in manual @Zoe7, just switching up the aperture to change the exposure, basically, but I loved the general editing function I was using in Photoshop in class today.  It shows me that I have good photo composition skills anyway .... so it’s the technics and techniques I will learn.  Not starting from scratch in everything, which makes it more manageable. And I can see I will be able to use the photography to support my artwork ongoing, which was something that was worrying me about using other people’s images.  It’s another puzzle piece falling into place for me.

That is great news @Former-Member - fingers crossed it all works out for you. Cleaning out a house is hard work so feel for you there 

@Faith-and-Hope Leaning those technical things and techniques comes with practice Hon - you will get that the more you do and learn little tricks along the way. The great thing with photoshop is you can hide some of those imperfections if you need to. Using your own art will be very rewarding

That is good news @Former-Member, and good that your son has accepted the decision.

You have been doing such a fab job of decluttering at your Dad’s.  That might help you to be able to organise what you will do with your own house now.

Is there room st your Dad’s house to store you furniture and household goods ?

Woo hoo @Former-Member. You probably have some mixed feelings about it though. I miss my home. It was sold because of my divorce. It was the only one my kids had known at that stage of their lives. 

I guess home is wherever you feel comfortable. Time to do some serious decluttering now I suppose. All the best.
