Re: Anyone feel like chatting?

Thank you @BlueBay I wish easy distraction techniques could 'distract' me - however they just never seem to. No matter what I do or where I go.. I am always left with my mind.

These forums are good at distracting at times though. kinda. xxxxx

Re: Anyone feel like chatting?

Remember the other night when you said you thought you were reading words from me that YOU had written @Former-Member - well you managed to turn the tables tonight! What you have written all across this discussion tonight echoes nearly EXACTLY how I have been doing the last couple of weeks Smiley Sad

As @CheerBear said earlier - we can't say it will get better (or that it won't) but we do have each other and we do have an understanding of what each other is going through - and THAT we can take some comfort in @Former-Member Heart

Re: Anyone feel like chatting?

@Former-Member - what you're describing sounds horrible. I understand how shattering it can feel and how much blame you can put on yourself after someone has hurt you like that. What happened says so much more about who he is as a person than it does about you. I try to remember that when I think of things that have happened to me. It doesn't help take away the pain of being the one who lives with it though 😞

While our stories are different, I can also relate to how incredibly hard it can be when everyone and every support seems to have disappeared, at a time when you need them the most. It's pain on pain and fear on fear. It's not what anyone needs.

I wish I could make it better but I am here, with others, listening and not running away.

Re: Anyone feel like chatting?

I have felt that way about "distraction" techniques @Former-Member

They are only a step in the direction away from sh or si.

I did not feel like living for 20 years and I still struggle, but I also have a lot of good moments now.

Enough good moments to put smiles on my dial.

ABout 10 years ago I phoned a friend exitedly telling him I had made soneone laugh.  I was over the moon, as I had been depressed for a very long time.

It is a good community on the forum, but we are all vulnerable too.

Maybe you will find a way for your music to come back to you, but maybe it will be from an unpredictable direction.

Anyway Take care ... and .... one step at a time is fine.
