Re: Good Morning!

Oh @avant-garde ♥️. My heart truly breaks knowing what you have been through but then I see the amazing person you are today and I'm so proud of you.

I really hope that I can one day be as strong as you and find a way through the darkness.

Your words are just so powerful and I can relate to them so much, thankyou for sharing and thankyou for always being you ❤️

@Dreamy

The last stanza says this

making you feel so small

that you have no confidence to rise

but you're not her anymore

this phoenix can surely fly

I'm going to try and sleep now

💜😴

Hey forumites

Have a good weekend

Re: Good Morning!

@MDT @rav3n @tyme @Jynx Good morning and sorry I have no idea where to post this link to Cornell Uni research on anxiety.

I found it a very interesting article. Had no clue that my medication could be inhibiting my executive function.

Hi @MDT @Glisten @Dreamy @avant-garde @PeppyPatti @TAB @tyme @Jynx @rav3n @Shaz51 @Oaktree @Appleblossom @Faith-and-Hope @Snowie @ENKELI @Emelia8 @AuntGlow @RiverSeal and all forumites here today. Happy Monday!

@MDT Nice to see you again!

@avant-garde I see you collect the Maccas squishmallows toys. What a great collection you’ve got! I’m also got 3 of them including the cat is the 1 I only really wanted as it reminded me of my deceased cat Mitz. I’m collecting them to put in my sensory box as a tool to help me with my mental health issues.

@Dreamy I like your cat from Build a Bear. I also have some toys from Build a Bear including a green rabbit I did on a cruise ship in September which was called Build a Bear at Sea - Carnival cruise ships. It even has a sailors outfit to wear which was a special edition to purchase on the cruise ship.

@TAB Well done on your AFL and SANFL teams winning. I’m still watching the AFL and cheering on my Brisbane Lions - their performance has been average lately unfortunately- and supporting the Melbourne Storm in the NRL. I’ll be watching the NRL State of Origin on Wednesday night and cheering for Queensland thanks to Billy Slater being the coach. I’m hoping both the Lions and Storm have a win on Friday and Saturday nights when they play the Geelong Cats at the Gabba and the Rabbitohs on Saturday night. I’m flying into Sydney on Saturday afternoon so I’m hoping to see some Storm supporters on board the flight.

As for other things, I’m still caring for my housemate with her physical and mental health issues whilst still dealing with housing problems. I’m looking forward to next Monday when I set sail to the Great Barrier Reef for 10 days and can forget about my usual life at home. The cruise goes to Moreton Island, Airlie Beach, Cairns and Port Douglas and I’m really looking forward to getting away. My housemate and I are planning to do the aquarium at Cairns which we didn’t do when we went there in September last year in the cruise -we did Kuranda village and scenic railway instead- so I’m hoping it will be worthwhile. I’ve heard it’s whale watching season at the moment as well so it would be great if I was to see a whale or 2 from the balcony cabin that I’m staying in. I’d even settle for a dolphin! I’m in the process of packing my suitcase and getting the last minute things done, including helping to organise my housemate with her things to pack. I’m definitely taking my knitting on board with several balls of wool and spare knitting needles for specific projects- beanies, kids jumpers, blankets- and have decided to pack a pair of needles for my housemate with some wool as she got seasick last time and wanted to knit to keep her distracted. Luckily I made a list on my phone from the last cruise as to what things to pack that we could need and it’s come in handy now, including playing cards and Uno cards. Fingers crossed for a smooth trip next Monday with no rough seas like last time!

Take care!

Re: Good Morning!

@Judi9877 your cruise sounds wonderful! That's one thing I'd like to do more of, I have only done one 4 day cruise but I completely enjoyed it.

It also sounds like a requirement for you to recharge your batteries!

I hope you have a good week, mine has started as average, nothing bad but nothing great either.

❤️🫂

Re: Good Morning!

I really enjoyed your post @Judi9877

I love reading Your going to knit on your cruise.

Re: Good Morning!

hey @TAB , if you need more water Coles sells 10 litre containers for $4.40. I buy them for my kettle and drinking water.

I envy you having a wood burning fire. I am lucky to have a gas connection in my home otherwise the place would be freezing in winter. The house I grew up in had an open fire and when my grandparents would come down from Gero to visit my grandfather would often bring a trailer load of mallee roots. Having the fire blazing for a few hours before bedtime would keep the whole house warm.

Hard to believe but Aussie houses are colder than some frozen tundra countries!
