Re: Welcome! Introduce yourself here 🙂

I am here in the foyer now.

Just found out a great friend of mine has sung with the artist TWICE....Bastard never told me this!

Re: Welcome! Introduce yourself here 🙂

G'day, @tyme

@Case-Ahn-13

@BipolarRich

Thanks for the mention, I've been meaning to pop in for a chat.

Hope everyone is doing well.

I had my nephew, sister and her fiancee over on Saturday.

Was a blast seeing my 2yo nephew bust moves and speak like a pro. It's the little things, right?

How was your weekend, everyone?

Re: Welcome! Introduce yourself here 🙂

@Noblegnosis ,

Kids are sooo funny. My niblings live next door to me so I spend significant time with them. They always make me laugh. Even when they make me angry, I can't stay angry for long.

Kiddos are cute when they learn to walk and talk. They have a world to discover that's before them.

It sounds like you are pretty close to them?

Re: Welcome! Introduce yourself here 🙂

Hi, Nitrogenous here 🙂

Thought about giving this forum a try to be part of a forum that is more recovery-focused and gain insight into various coping mechanisms as I'm navigating through my chronic mental health problems 🙂

Fun fact, I also have experience as a peer recovery support worker within the MH system and helping others navigate through their mental health challenges also gave me hope 🙂 Hopefully, I won't get judged here for being a peer worker who is currently struggling myself as a lot of services out there unfortunately still have that stigma.

Cheers,
Nitrogenous

Re: Welcome! Introduce yourself here 🙂

Hi, Im new too, I just wanted to say im so glad your trying to work on it, its hard. please know that just because you talk to your loved ones, it doesnt make you a burden! i obviously dont know your partner, but ive been a carer and the one needing care. sometimes having the other person talk to you about how they are feeling feels like 'finally!' that explains it, i had this whole other reason in my head I thought it was, or I thought it was me!

Re: Welcome! Introduce yourself here 🙂

Welcome @nitrogenous!

We are so happy to have you here.

I am sure your experience as peer worker will be invaluable for our community.

Looking forward to learning more about you and your story. 🥰

Reach out if you have any questions. ✨

Re: Welcome! Introduce yourself here 🙂

Welcome @YoshisEgg!

How are you?

So lovely to have you here too. 🫶

Re: Welcome! Introduce yourself here 🙂

Howdy.

Im Yoshis Egg. I get shit out and reborn on an infinate time loop. I am also great at catching annoying things with my tongue. I am dinosaur. The green variety. I am here because I have been driven to a sort of maddness by rainbow road

for real though, Im here to try out different forms of help, and learn with designs on doing peer work sometime. While i navigate Bipolar, C-PTSD, DID and probable ADHD. I am bad at grammar, and i dont apologise for it ðŸ˜‚

Re: Welcome! Introduce yourself here 🙂

not me! i dont judge im on DSP. I dont think recovery is linear so i fully embrace peer workers who dip sometimes!

Re: Welcome! Introduce yourself here 🙂

Thank you so much @AuntGlow. I am excited to once again used my lived and living experience to help others towards recovery as it does help a lot with my own recovery journey too! I also look forward to learning more about the forum and the people here and truly respect and acknowledge your experience too! 🙂
