@outlander I'll have to think about sharing. Mainly cross stitch, but interested in many others, just haven't given them a go. I've seen some of your paintings on other threads, well done you. I would love to be able to paint, but never mind, I'm leave that to the experts.

oh, my @CheerBear you did make me chuckle with your new found knowledge of cross stitch. I understand, and indeed, 'who would have thought'!
I have had many a moment of 'well, I never knew that', and would love to have many more. Once, I might have been embarrassed, now for me, they are moments of wonder and delight and a joy.
Such are the ways we are inveigled, cajoled, won over by new and interesting crafts! The curiosity, the goodness-I-never-knew-that, and the I-wonder-if-I-can-do-that-too, all tempt us toward new and different possibilities.
On The Red Think front - I have designed the basic structure for it. I will use the Sophie concept of turning a circle into a square about 10cm past the sleeves and make the whole a rectangle instead of a circle. I have a sketch of it to more or less follow. I will have to see if I can incorporate some pretty stitches into the going-from-a-circle-to-a-corner part of things so it is eyecatching.
There will be loose lacey fluttery-ish short sleeves and I have put a hood into the design too at this point. Feeling more motivated to finish it now, thank you for the inspiration!
I have a Little Red Riding Hood style fabric cape in a light patterned voile. It's fun to wear and very comfortable to hide under too. People see it as a Hobbit style though. I used to make bed capes with hoods for friends in oncology care so it's a well used and loved pattern.
@BlueBay wanted to check with you -how are you going with the Finger Knitting? Wanted to say that you could double the threads of the thin yarn you have and wind a ball if that would make it thick enough. Depending on how much yarn you have, use multiple balls to get the thickness you want. I have a winder so that makes it easier on my arms and neater, but you can wind by hand too. The last one I did, I was working with 6 strands to get enough thickness.
Wonderful to see so much new activity here in the corner *adds some more rocking chairs for everyone to relax and chat while crafting*.
Have as lovely a day as you can.

Sure thing @BlueBay, I had totally forgotten you were knitting those baby things, how is it going? Are you able to share, only if you want to of course.
@Snowie awesome, so that's a really good excuse for us to keep tagging you. I look forward to seeing you pop in here every now and then with some progress reports, regardless how tiny you might feel they are, they inspire us to reach further ourselves.
Me, had to undo almost half a round because I did it wrong - almost redone. I just have to concentrate better.

Morning everyone ☺
@Maggie your cross stitch is beautiful! It's so intricate and pretty. I'm finding, from the little I have done, it's a real stretch for my eyes. I really should have reading glasses also but I seem to lose things (everything) and two pairs of glasses is one too many for me I think. Love the colours you're using.
You captured so much of the joy in creating and trying new crafty things for me in a post above @Former-Member 😊 I get lost in the world of possibilities sometimes, and it's such a great feeling (so different to the feelings that feel like hurt).
Red thing sounds amazing. I'm not surprised you have a version of a little red riding hood, hood ☺
Speaking of possibilities, I started a new Pinterest board for cross stitch after coming across some designs that made me giggle. Probably can't share what I found as I'm thinking the amount of swear words in them maybe could push it (I found them so funny and great though). I have put Sophie on hold until I can play nicely again, and am currently working on a little stitch project with a rainbow, flowers, hearts and a word beginning with F. It suits me and my mood at the moment haha.
I did find this shareable one on my travels and it reminded me of you ☺
Hope everyone who is working on something (or thinking about working on something - that's sometimes just as much fun for me) is it enjoying it ☺
