My Dark Poetic Mind

Hi, just wanting to start a thread of my own to write down all my little dark poetic thoughts.

Please note: I am currently receiving intensive support from my Mental Health Team and have a very supportive partner, family and close friends.

I will also give a *Trigger Warning, in case I feel something may be a little confronting. Not saying I'll post anything like that but just a heads up anyways. 🤷

So here goes with the first of, I'm assuming many, as right now I need an outlet without writing this down physically.

"She whispered.. speak your truth, for it will set you free..

I laugh as her nails crawl beneath my skin..
My inner torment, a cage within..

She slips through the veil, of obsidian mist..
My truth you say.. is a suffocating abyss..

No longer free.. for my voice is mute.. silenced.. conditioned.. Oh, how I always lose..

Truth you say..

What more is there to know..
You inhabited my heart,
And completely broke my soul.."

Re: My Dark Poetic Mind

Really love poetry. Your poem is brilliant and l can really connect with how you are feeling. Thank you for sharing.

Re: My Dark Poetic Mind

The world seems a little blurry..

Distorted by ignorance, unknowing, square like views..

Step into another's shoes, walk their path of distorted truths..

Only then will you see how blurry the world can be..

Please note:- I am safe, just one of my random thoughts.

Glad you have found this place to write down your beautiful words.

Re: My Dark Poetic Mind

Just finished my follow up appointment with my Doctor and had to go for a walk. While I was trying to calm down this came to my mind.

Please note:- I am safe, just feeling overwhelmed which I'm sure others here can understand, especially when it's a new treating doctor.

My mind is racing, and so begins the pacing.

Thoughts obscured, unable to voice.

Heart rate rises, tears begin to fall.

Oh how I wish for a reprieve from it all.

lRe: My Dark Poetic Mind

Been a while since I've posted in here, just had to get out some random thoughts.

"When we fall we fall,

Into the abyss, can sometimes feel like bliss.

I crave an existence where I won't fall,

Won't spiral, but yet I endure it all.

My mind feels broken,

Shattered beyond repair.
