@Jynx I am not mob, but had connections back 2 generations from my father. Values that were good and passed down stuck with me.

@Till23 a weird thing is I did Geology field trips in 1983 on the same country that the Wayapa wurrk people are now. I just love it. It feels deeply right. Beautiful country. My son goes hiking there with friends a bit.

Very true @Appleblossom the more time I spend with indigenous people - not just from here, but everywhere - the more I can see how much wisdom there is, how much we can learn if we can just humble ourselves to it! Thank you for sharing 💜

I saw my psychologist again yesterday. She added me on to the end of her day because she wanted to check on me after Wednesday’s appointment. The appointment on Wednesday really went south. I said to her yesterday that I got really overwhelmed on Wednesday and she said that I pretty much totally shut down. She apologised to me because her energy was off that day too because she had a headache. I told her that I really wasn’t aware of the energy she was bringing that day. Anyway my appointment yesterday went much better but we didn’t do anything hard, just had a general chat about things. I have a strange tendency to do EMDR one appointment and then not want to do it at the next appointment. She says that I am not her slowest client lol

Re: Safe Now

@Oaktree I appreciate honest transparency and your genuine posts. I learn from others talking about their “therapeutic relationships “. For me there was always so much shame and pressure to do things for family, and not be vulnerable. It is good to reflect over all the therapy since 1970s. Mostly I couldn’t afford it at the beginning. A lot of the benefits are that we are showing up for ourselves.

Re: Safe Now

Thank you for sharing @Oaktree .

I'm glad your session felt less intense and your therapist was able to respond to your need at that time. It really helps when that happens.

We are here if you need some company.

Re: Safe Now

Aww thanks for the update @Oaktree

I'm glad your therapist is open to owning her stuff too, and was tranparent about what was happening on the day for her as well. Hope your day in the city has been the perfect amount of adventurous (and not overstimulating aahaha) 😋
